Skirting install and door shortening

MJ and his partner were excellent throughout from providing a quick quote and carrying out the work to a very high standard.

Replace skirting boards and window surrounds as they’d warped over the years with condensation.

Clear and accurate quote and MJ talked through different options to choose from. The guys showed up on time, polite, straightforward and really conscientious of looking after the house and working around our toddler who was also buzzing around. In doing some snagging after the team left I found something that needed following up on, and after a quick call MJ and the team were round a couple days later to get it sorted with no hassle at all. We’ll be reaching out to MJ first for work we need doing in future.

MJ came over to look at the job within 24 hours of my call, gave a reasonable quote, and did a great job very quickly. Will definitely be calling him next time I need a carpenter.

To Install a new external door

MJ was very helpful during the whole process. He came out and measured the door and I sourced the door myself. He did not bother me while the door was being supplied as the process can take up to 2 month. He came and done the job quickly and quietly. He was very knowledgeable and got straight on to the job without any complaints. The internal edge of the plaster-wall and door frame interface is always effected by the installation but the damage was very minimal and MJ came out a few days later and applied a PVC trim to tidy the edging up for no extra cost. Would definitely recommend MJ and Sons

Replacing the decking on an outdoor first floor balcony.

Excellent overall experience. I requested a quote on a Friday evening, MJ was at our flat to provide the quote on the Sunday, and work was completed by the following Thursday. The service was friendly and the finished job looks great.

Reworking the structure of a front porch

The work involved a mixture of building work (shoring up a porch with acrow props, removing posts), replacing posts with gallows brackets (which MJ constructed onsite to match style in situ), new facia and guttering, levelling the porch ceiling which was previously at two levels, and making good. MJ did a good very good job, all within one day, with the help of his step-son. He was polite, he regularly engaged with us and checked all was as we needed it to be, and left the site in good order when finished.

MJ and his team did a fantastic job replacing all of our doors in our new house. Everything form the advise when scoping out the work to carrying out was done on a very high level. Would highly recommend!

Made ready for painting the architrave and hung 8 new doors.

Mark came with his two sons. They were all very professional and friendly. They arrived early morning and did a full days work. They also before they left hoovered and cleaned up. I am very pleased with the work they have done for us.
